The accident took place at the intersection of Noorderlaan and Ordamstraat, where train tracks cross the road. While there are traffic lights and a bell to warn drivers, there are no physical barriers to prevent such collisions. It has been said that this has raised safety concerns, especially during early hours when visibility is low. Emergency services quickly arrived to secure the place and assess the damage.

The truck’s diesel tank broke during the crash, causing a fire that destroyed the truck. The truck driver did not survive, and the train driver was in shock. Authorities mentioned that the area will be closed for several hours, so avoid it.
