The government aims to plant more trees by 2030, giving farmers first rights to buy land in farm areas. They’re bringing in a “Blue Deal 2.0” to help with droughts and floods by making wetlands, protecting peatlands, and keeping pastures green. The Natuurpunt leader said we should move quickly though most of nature in Flanders is in bad shape. He wants politicians to stop arguing and start investing smartly in restoring nature to fight climate change effectively and affordably.
