FlixBus has just started its first bus route that connects Ukraine to Brussels, Belgium. This is a big step for both the company and Ukraine because it links the country directly to the center of European politics. This new bus line is not just about making travel easier, it also has an important meaning. FlixBus says this connection shows Ukraine’s efforts to build stronger ties with Europe, especially as it aims to join the European Union. By linking Ukraine and Brussels, this bus route represents Ukraine’s journey toward closer integration with the EU.
How does FlixBus’s new route from Kyiv to Brussels enhance Ukraine’s EU integration?
The new bus line is seen as a sign of Ukraine’s progress in connecting with European values and institutions. Brussels is where the European Parliament and other EU offices are located, making it a central part of the EU. This FlixBus route shows that Ukraine is not just physically closer to the EU, but also moving closer to its goal of becoming a member. It helps Ukrainians travel to Europe more easily and supports Ukraine’s hopes of fully joining the European community.
The new bus line starts on 25th September Wednesday and has two trips each week. Buses leave from Kiev on Wednesday and Friday mornings, while from Brussels-North, they leave on Monday and Saturday mornings. A one-way ticket to Kyiv costs just under 100 euros, and the journey takes about 40 hours. The bus makes several stops along the way, including in Liege, Cologne Airport, DĂĽsseldorf, Berlin, and Lviv. FlixBus already has 28 direct routes to Ukraine from 8 EU countries, so people can also travel to and from Kyiv from places like Warsaw, Budapest, and Berlin.
