Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): Farmers are protesting in Brussels, starting at 5 AM, causing significant traffic disruptions. Key roads will be closed, and commuters are advised to use public transport to avoid delays. Expect detours and heavy traffic throughout the day.

A large farmers’ protest is expected in the Brussels-Capital Region, which will cause major traffic delays. Police warn that delays could start as early as 5 a.m. and last throughout the day, especially during the morning and early afternoon. Farmers will be driving tractors to Wetstraat (Rue de la Loi) for the demonstration, and traffic disruptions are spread beyond the main protest area.

How will farmer’s protest impact traffic in Brussels?

Tractors moving slowly through the city cause heavy traffic on important roads and entry points into Brussels. Commuters, residents, and visitors should look for different routes or use public transport to avoid delays. The police have also said that travelers should be ready for possible detours and longer travel times because the protest may change as it goes on.

At 6:00 AM, the area between Wit Street and Shuman will be closed. The road from E40 to the center and the Jubel Park road to Wit Street will also be shut. Police say taxi drivers will protest in two days, starting from Eterbeek and going through Polart Plain to the center of Brussels, especially Lombard Street. There will be traffic delays until the afternoon. The Red Devils will play at King Baudouin Stadium on the 14th of November, and police advise fans to arrive on time. Everyone is encouraged to use public transport, like trains and the metro.
