Brussels (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): In a statement released by Bart De Wever it was confirmed that he left the coalition talks because of the conflict between the French speaking MR and Flemish Vooruit about a proposed tax on dividends. The coalition trying to form a government before the October elections will see Prévot act as mediator and deliver an update to the King on September 2nd.

The person heading the gesprekken De Wever left as the talks were stuck. The problem was between a French-speaking group called MR and a Flemish group called Vooruit. They couldn’t agree on whether or not to impose tax on profits from selling shares. It’s up to Prévot to bring them around the table soon said a statement which came from the Palace. But in this case again it will be up more like him explaining her just  so Monday 2 September he will inform King about what he has done. Helping them come back together and get back talking again for him would be an achievement.

Will the Arizona coalition in Belgium succeed in forming Government?

In appointing Mr.Prévot  he did not give any indication of what he thought might happen to the coalition. But he represents the coalition that includes Arizona in its name.Five parties make up this group of ultimately only includes N-VA, CD & V, Vooruit, MR and Les Engagés before it separates from itself to become many more groups. When the King took this step his actions are a sign he still believes that it might happen .The last step means the King is still convinced this coalition may be able to go on and makes some kind of progress since there are no other realistin alternative had been picked out so far.On Friday the leaders of the five coalition parties each spoke separately with King after which most expressed confidence that this coalition right now has any chance getting off the ground.

Sammy Mahdi from CD&V met with the King first on Friday. He highlighted the importance of the five party leaders continuing their discussions as there is a small opportunity to establish a Federal Government before the municipal elections on the 13th of October. This indicates a sense of urgency to work towards forming a government before the upcoming elections.
