David Lega MEP

David Lega is a Swedish politician and former athlete. He entered the European Parliament last year and serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Subcommittee on Human rights and the Intergroup on Disability. David Lega is a former Paralympic swimmer; he retired from sports after the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games and launched a career as an influencer and entrepreneur. He entered local politics in Swedish Gothenburg in 2011 and was elected vice chairman of the Christian Democratic Party in Sweden the following year.
