Belgium (The Brussels Morning newspaper): The Belgium Brewers Federation successfully organized and delivered the Grand Place event, which wanted to get 500 beers promoting responsible drinking habits. Additionally, 4,000 people attended the Wanderlust Festival, which displayed 15 craft breweries.

It has been said that the Belgian Brewers Federation was happy with the people who came, even though the weather wasn’t great on Friday. Around 50 breweries set up their stalls at the Grand Place. They had about 500 types of beer to try, and around 10% of them were low or non-alcoholic choices. The Federation is presently focusing on promoting responsible drinking, and soon they will introduce stricter regulations to manage advertisements better. Krishan Maudgal, director of Belgian Brewers, believes that selling about 72,000 drinks to 62,000 attendees over the weekend indicates it works properly.

What factors led to the success of Belgian Beer Festivals?

According to resources, Maudgal said, “We’re not trying to sell the most beer. We want people to drink in moderation using tasting glasses. It has been said that their aim is for the public to enjoy the product and explore Belgian beer culture. The “Wanderlust Festival” was held at the Brussels Beer Project (BBP) in the Sainte Catherine district, just a short distance from Grand Place. About 15 craft breweries from Belgium and abroad participated in this event, and approximately 4000 people turned up, making organizers happy. BBP co-founder Sebastien Morvan said that this year’s event might break a record when he spoke on Sunday.
