Young investors embrace finfluencers amidst shifts in Belgium economy

Brussels (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): Belgians are starting to invest in your diverse financial products more frequently especially the youth and a whopping 47% invest beyond just saving accounts. Finfluencers together with digital platforms have a great influence on young investors in the Belgian economy.

The experiment carried out by the financial sector federation Febelfin one key finding the young people like listening financial influencers. It’s just that those are called finfluencers.The survey also discovered that nearly one-quarter of young persons  23% to be precise  said they’d go along with suggestions offered by these influencers in areas like investment products and cryptocurrencies.

Are Belgians shifting investment trends amid changes in the economy?

At the same time for people in the middle and older groups 31-79  the proportion of investors has risen from 44% to 50%. By contrast for the younger generation behind them 16-30 the proportion of investors has shot up from 24% to 37%. And this as they seek to secure ever higher returns.

Belgians mostly invest in things like extra pensions 46% investment funds 42% insurance stuff 37% and shares of big companies 30%.For younger investors  their investment choices are a bit different. They prefer putting their money into investment funds 35% followed by supplementary pensions 27% shares of listed companies 25% and cryptocurrencies 20%.
