Things to do in Bruges City of Belgium

Belgium, (Brussels Morning Newspaper) Located in northwesterly Belgium, Bruges is the capital of West Flanders. It is a beautiful city of canals, cobbled streets, and medieval buildings. The port at Zeebrugge was an important center of European trade and fishing. The 14th-century Stadhuis (City Hall) has ornate carved ceilings, and you can visit the 83-metre tower and 47-bell belfry.

If you have kids, take them on a canal boat tour to see the historical buildings of the city. The town center is close to the central train station, and you can reach the historic center in about an hour. You can take the canal boat tours of the town center, which are inexpensive and take about half an hour. The canal boats tour guides are knowledgeable and speak several languages. They also have special ways of sharing history.

If you’re interested in Flemish art from centuries past, head to the Groeningemuseum. This beautiful museum features both beautiful and gory paintings. You’ll find a painting of a man being flayed alive, a work by Jan Van Eyck, and a statue of St. George being tortured. The building has a stunning view of the market square and offers a great view of the city.

One of the oldest buildings in the city, the Minnewater Lake, is a must-see. It dates back to the 12th century and is filled with gothic architecture. It features a museum on the ground floor, and it is a true nature lover’s paradise. The picturesque castle is surrounded by trees and is located in the heart of the city. If you’re interested in beer, you’ll find hundreds of local beers at a store. If you can’t make up your mind on what to drink, you can stop by the Bruges Beer Museum for a beer tasting.

The market square in Bruges is a great place to go people watching. If you’re traveling with children, you can tour the famous Bruges Brewery. The location is right near the Beguinage. It’s important to ask for directions when visiting this park, as it’s a beautiful and historic place to visit. Once you’ve had a look at the city hall, you’ll want to head over to the Beguinage, which is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in a city.

A visit to the museum is a must-do if you love chocolate. You can even get your own sample to take home as souvenir. If you love history, you might want to explore the Bruges cathedral. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you can learn about its fascinating history by walking around it. If you’re a fan of architecture, you’ll want to go to Bruges.
