The building has 6 classrooms and increases the campus’s capacity from 450 to 550 students. The classrooms are designed for practical learning and modern teaching methods.
What does the Sint-Teresia campus Lokeren expansion mean for students?
The campus’s Sports program is drawing interest from students. Programs such as Sports Science and Sports in dual specialisation are especially popular. Other programs at the campus also continue to perform well. Officials said the new classrooms and growing enrollment in sports programs mark an important step for the school.
The temporary container classrooms at Sint-Teresia Campus will stay on the campus for now. They plan to move soon to the Sint-Lodewijk campus, where the next construction project will take place.
During the official ceremony, Director Koen Pollart shared the history of the school and its long tradition of education. Director-General of Catholic Education Flanders, Bruno Vanobbergen, was enthusiastic about the campus and its warm, hospitable vibe. The campus dean blessed the new buildings and the bike path, and the event concluded with cutting ribbons in a ceremonial opening. The campus directors were presented keys to the new classrooms.
