Music Festivals This Weekend Belgium’s Cultural Society Celebrating Summer

Brussels ((Brussels Morning Newspaper): Belgium’s culture and society shine through diverse summer music festivals like Dranouter Fest’s 50th bash, AFF in Genk, Campo Solar in Damme WECANDANCE in Zeebrugge and the famous Lokerse Feesten.

Belgium has lots of summer festivals. There are 18 music festivals happening all over the country. The Dranouter Festival is happening this weekend in a nice place in West Flemish Heuvelland at the bottom of Kemmelberg. It has been reported that its their 50th anniversary.

 What Are the Highlights of Belgium’s Summer music festival?

Artists like Portland, Froukje and Brihang will perform. In Genk, there’s a festival called AFF where you can enter for free by bringing used batteries which is good for the environment. It’s at C-Mine and has artists like Ashley Morgan, Ghostwoman and the Irish punk band Gurriers. In Paal there’s a fun festival with AtmoZ Retro, Zornik, Regi Live, and Laura Tesoro. It’s on the old football fields of Flandria Paal promising a good time with awesome music and vibes. In Damme there’s a fun festival in the cornfields called Campo Solar chosen as the prettiest spot by Studio Brussel.

 They’re adding Campo Lunar with the festival feel. It has been said that people enjoy music from T Hof van Commerce, Bart Peters, Equal Idiots and Dr. Lektroluv along with activities like yoga, beach volleyball and relaxing by the pool. At WECANDANCE on Zeebrugge Beach they mix music with a cool theme called Drop in the Light Rise in the Dark. There are six stages with different music styles like hip-hop and amapiano. It has been reported that  there are art displays, fashion shops and even festival hairdressing. At Lokerse Feesten big festival many cool artists like 2manydjs, Clouseau, De La Soul, Froukje, Future Islands, Joost, Nas, Oscar and The Wolf.Combo tickets gone but day tickets left for most days.
