Puurs-Sint-Amands (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Young fans gathered at the 14th KID Rock Festival in Puurs-Sint-Amands with one goal: to meet beloved YouTuber Timon Verbeeck in person.

DJ Ketnet and “Mr. Spaghetti” will also be present. At this “festival where kids rule,” the youngest guests won’t be bored for long because there are thirty bouncy castles on the grounds.

A fairground attraction, 30 bouncy castles, “Meneer Spaghetti,” and DJ Ketnet. However, Timon Verbeeck is the only person present at this year’s KID Rock at Park Fort Liezele, Belgium

You may be familiar with the TikToker and YouTuber from his hilarious videos in a tight red suit, his excellent performance on the television show “De Slimste Mens ter Wereld” (The Smartest Person in the World), and his dinosaur chants.

The young festivalgoers had the chance to meet their YouTube idol today, but there wasn’t enough time allotted. Luckily, Timon was happy to stay a little longer for his fans.

“We only had an hour, but I just stayed put until everyone had a turn,”

the YouTuber explains.

“It’s so cool to know they’re watching my videos in Puurs too. It’s also my first time at KID Rock and it’s fantastic here; there are more bouncy castles than I’ve ever seen in my life,”

said the enthusiastic online star.

We hear a lot of enthusiastic reactions from the children.

“It’s fantastic here, there are lots of activities. I mainly came to meet Timon Verbeeck. We had to wait in line for the meet-and-greet, but not too long,”

says Charlie-Lisette.

“I really like his videos and he makes lots of funny noises.”

Sisters Mirte and Inte also came to the festival grounds with one goal in mind.

“We often watch Timon Verbeeck because he makes so many funny sounds. But sometimes Mom and Dad tell us we’d rather be playing outside.”

The organizers themselves describe KID Rock as “a festival where kids are in charge.

“The idea is that kids can choose whatever they want and fully enjoy themselves,”

emphasizes organizer Manu de Clerck.

The concept originated from the playground.

“We’re all former playground animators. During our summer jobs, a few of us got the idea to invite an artist. That’s how KID Rock actually came about, and we’ve continued to grow. We’re all still volunteers and we do it out of passion; no one actually makes any money from it.”

What measures were taken to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all children wishing to meet their favorite YouTuber?

The KID Rock Festival in Puurs-Sint-Amands has a strong focus on making its events welcoming and accessible to all children, including those wishing to meet popular YouTubers like Timon Verbeeck.

The festival site is designed with young children in mind, featuring flat open spaces to support easy mobility for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Event organizers provide various attractions, such as workshops and shows, in central locations that are easily reached by all attendees.

There are well-marked entrances with wide access to avoid crowding and allow smoother entry for families with strollers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids.
