Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Tensions are increasing in Europe with Germany now warning its civilians that they must prepare themselves for possible World War Three and advising them on what they need to do.

European countries are gearing up for an all-out battle on the continent as Ukraine launched US-made missiles into Russia for the first time and Vladimir Putin officially reduced the threshold for Moscow to launch a nuclear strike.

How is Germany preparing civilians for potential WW3?

Germans have been cautioned to ready themselves for possible WW3 with Russia after Vladimir Putin again intimidated a nuclear strike. Strains were further cranked up after US President Joe Biden permitted Ukraine to use long-range missiles for raids in Russia and Moscow has since stated they have been used to shoot a weapons warehouse in the Bryansk region.

Vladimir Putin stated that if Western countries permit Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia with their longer-rage weapons, “it will mean that NATO countries, the US, and European countries are at war with Russia.”

What role will Germany play as NATO’s logistics hub?

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius expressed that Russia poses not just a military but also a hybrid threat and that Europe must take a broad procedure to defence. The German Foreign Minister has also pledged that the country would not be “intimidated” by Putin after it was disclosed that Germany would become a NATO staging ground if the dispute further escalates.

According to sources, in a 1,000-page document called ‘Operationsplan Deutschland’, Germany would host hundreds of thousands of soldiers from NATO countries, it is reported. It would serve as a logistics junction for sending military equipment, food and medication to the front. The army in Germany has also been advising both civilians and companies how to shield infrastructure and be ready to uphold the country if it came under invasion from sabotage as well as from drones and spying operations.
