Firebomb attack in Antwerp raises concerns of drug-Related Crime

Antwerp (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): Early this morning a firebomb attack occurred on De Bosschaertstraat in Antwerp damaging a house and a car. The police are investigating a possible link to drug-related organized crime.

On 15 July 2024 at morning people living on De Bosschaertstraat in Antwerp heard a big bang. Someone threw a firebomb at a house and a car caught fire. The police and firefighters came fast put out the fire and are now looking into what happened. Nobody got hurt but the neighbors are worried about what happened.

A long-time neighbor, Monique who has been living in the area for 50 years,suspects a connection to the drug world. She mentions police visits to the house in front of the burned car suggesting possible drug-related activities with mopeds coming and going. The police are considering a potential link to the drug scene in their investigation.
