Brussels (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): The Tram Experience in Brussels combines fine dining with city tours. Passengers enjoy gourmet meals by famous chefs while riding a special tram through Brussels’ neighborhoods. Booking ahead is advised due to high demand.

It has been said that the Tram Experience in Brussels is a unique way to explore the city while enjoying a delicious meal. Organized by Visit Brussels, this experience turns a regular tram ride into a special culinary journey. It starts at Poelaertplein, a popular square near the Palais de Justice and  travels through beautiful neighborhoods. Passengers get to enjoy a three-course meal prepared by famous chefs, featuring gourmet Belgian dishes with modern twists, all paired with wines or other drinks to enhance the dining experience.

What makes the Trame Experience in Brussels a unique culinary adventure?

The tram for the Tram Experience is specially designed with a modern interior, featuring elegant tables, comfortable seating, and large windows that provide great views of Brussels’ landmarks. This mix of fine dining and sightseeing makes it a unique attraction for locals and tourists, allowing them to enjoy the city’s culture and cuisine at the same time. The experience runs regularly and reservations are usually needed because seats are limited. It’s a collaboration between Visit Brussels and top chefs to highlight Brussels’ culinary creativity and diversity while offering a new way to explore the city.

“This year, we’re showcasing a group of young chefs from Brussels. Recently, many talented chefs have begun working in the city, like the chef from Klok and the one from Racine, and we’re kicking off the season with the chef from St. Kilda in Ukkel. These chefs are known for their creativity, using local ingredients, focusing on sustainability, and maintaining high quality in their dishes, and we want to share this with as many people as possible,” says Jeroen Rope. “The goal of this concept is to support Brussels restaurants and highlight how great our food scene is. Make sure to sign up quickly because the Tram Experience is very popular. Last season we welcomed over 8,000 guests, including not just tourists but also locals and people from nearby areas,” adds Jan Roppe.
