The discussion evening will provide information about the training, preparation, and medical support that top-level cyclists receive. How is Kortrijk’s Velo Vibe campaign getting more people to cycle?

The Velo Vibe campaign will be organised by Sport Vlaanderen. The campaign is about getting more people to ride bikes. The campaign wants to get people who don’t ride bikes to start riding. The city hopes to get people to be more active and ride bikes more often.

According to the officials, Kortrijk has already made it easier to ride bikes in the city. They have built new bike paths and made rules. They mentioned that the campaign is part of a bigger plan to make it easier for everyone to ride bikes in the region.

According to the officials, the events also include classes for people who want to learn how to ride bikes for sports. Fien Notebaert, who works for the Kortrijk sports department, says that the goal is to help everyone in the city feel comfortable riding a bike, whether they ride for fun, to get to work, or for sports.

These classes educate individuals on traffic laws, signalling when one is cycling and safely riding on busy roads. Notebaert stated that the aim is to make people good cyclists and ensure everyone remains safe when cycling. The city of Kortrijk hopes that all these events will encourage more people to ride bikes regularly.

There will also be workshops on how to maintain your bike or how to cycle more safely,

says Fien Notebaert.
