Woman’s body found at Roeselare Carpool, investigation underway

Roeselare (Brussels Morning Newspaper) -A woman’s body was discovered at a carpool parking lot on Graankaai in Roeselare, prompting an immediate investigation by the public prosecutor’s office. The authorities shut down the parking lot, which caused temporary traffic congestion throughout the area.

Public prosecutors started a search after finding a dead female body in the Graankaai carpool parking lot area of Roeselare. The emergency responders received notification about the discovery, and authorities closed down the parking lot immediately to start their investigation. 

A Roeselare fire department member was summoned at 5 p.m. because a person found a dead body lying near a parked vehicle in the carpool parking area. During this closure, access to Roeselare from E403 Graankaai and traffic from Roeselare to Izegem at the roundabout became limited. According to a probable cause affidavit, “a deceased female was located inside the vehicle”.

What information is available regarding the Incident?

No definitive details exist about when the woman died. Public prosecutors obtained forensic medical expertise to examine the situation closely. Criminal investigators arrested a man due to his girlfriend’s death in their 7-Eleven parking space. According to police,

“Johnson stated his relationship with the victim as intimate partners, currently living together,”

and that

“he was in a previous argument with the victim, stating it was over with their relationship”.
