Ukraine missile attack kills three as Kryvyi Rih comes under fresh strike

KRYVYI RIH, Ukraine, June 23 – Brussels Morning Newspaper — Ukraine missile attack left at least three people dead after Russian forces launched overnight strikes on the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, according to regional officials. Emergency crews rushed to damaged residential neighborhoods to rescue survivors, extinguish fires, and assess structural damage while authorities warned residents to remain alert for additional air raid threats. Several civilians were also reported injured and transported to local hospitals for treatment. The latest strike caused damage to homes and nearby infrastructure, adding to the humanitarian challenges facing communities across Ukraine. Rescue operations continued throughout the morning as investigators documented the impact of the attack and searched affected buildings for possible additional victims. Local officials said emergency services would remain deployed until every damaged site had been secured and inspected. The attack comes as fighting continues across multiple regions, with civilian areas frequently affected by missile and drone strikes.
