London (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that he is “determined” to lower barriers to trade with the European Union, saying that a better association with European business partners will benefit UK citizens.
In a session in Parliament, Prime Minister Keir Starmer restated his intentions to reduce trade barriers with the European Union.
According to him, promoting a better relationship between European business partners and Britain is crucial for benefiting citizens. He said strengthening trade ties will enhance economic growth and make it easier for the country to compete with others globally.
The PM said it is necessary to cooperate with European allies to revitalise a larger strategy for the UK economy post-Brexit, to let British businesses thrive and compete effectively in this interconnected world.
What was Starmer’s message during his visit to Brussels?
Earlier, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, visiting Brussels on 3 February 2025, put a significant message across; indeed, at that time of upsurge danger, notably Russian, nations from Europe had an urgent need for unity among all European states and the European commitment to more co-responsibility for each individual’s security on their respective homeland.
