Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): Mohamed-Amine Dardour, a 25-year-old guy from Brussels who was wanted by the police, got caught on August 3. He’s in trouble for serious stuff like murder and was caught using drugs with a fake ID.
 A 25-year-old man from Brussels Mohamed-Amine Dardour one of Belgium and Europe’s most wanted criminals has been captured outside the capital. He had managed to escape from the police twice but his run came to an end on Saturday August 3rd. The Federal Police confirmed his arrest.
Officers from the Bodukap Police Zone in Sint-Katheline-Waver with assistance from the Zenne Valley Police Zone in Halle and Beersel found Dardour in a car.It has been reported that when they caught him he was under the influence of drugs and in possession of a fake ID.This arrest is a significant development in an extensive investigation into serious crimes.
What Led to Mohamed-Amine Dardour’s Arrest After Multiple Escapes?
In July 2020 when he was just 19 Mohamed-Amine Dardour went to the police along with another young man Youssef Jeddi. They approached the authorities about a shooting that had occurred in Forest the week before. It was a horrific incident involving a machine gun which resulted in the death of a young man and left two others injured. The shooting had deeply affected the community. The police were focused on solving the case.
Dardour and Jeddi were involved in this violent crime and their decision to come forward highlighted the role of drugs and crime in their lives. Their actions led to their capture shedding light on the broader issues at play in this case.
In 2022 Mohamed-Amine Dardour and Youssef Jeddi were facing serious charges of murder and attempted murder.It has been reported that before the trial Dardour broke his ankle bracelet and escaped with Jeddi throwing the legal process.It has been said that their escape prompted the involving police in Brussels and Spain who formed a special team to track them down. After a year and a half of searching they were finally captured by Spanish police in Malaga in March 2024.
