Model City shooting: Injured Person Hospitalized

Brussels (The Brussels Morning newspaper): Gunfire rang out in Model City, Laeken, encouraging police to investigate and discover an injured individual. The investigation is still happening while the suspects are no longer in custody.

It has been reported that the Brussels Police went to Model City in Laken because they heard gunshots in the middle of the night on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, around 1:50 a.m. It must have been tough for the people living there. Officers sent several patrols to Model City in Laeken, where they found an injured person who was still conscious. They helped the injured person before the ambulance arrived and responded quickly to attend to the individual in need.

What Happened in Model City After Shooting?

It has been reported that after the injured person got first aid, they were taken to the hospital. Later in the morning, prosecutors from Brussels went to Model City to check things out. They said they’re starting an investigation. After the experts checked the bullets and evidence at the scene, a judge was assigned on Sunday morning to look into the attempted murder. The Federal Police are now leading the investigation to find out what happened. They caught him but let him go because he wasn’t involved. According to authorities, no one knows what happened, on Sunday afternoon. Laken’s Model City is a new affordable housing project in Brussels, Belgium.
