Brussels (The Brussels Morning newspaper): The Socialist mayors of Brussels are collaborating with police to address challenges at Midi station, seeking more resources and urging the CEO’s participation to find solutions, while warning against unfairly criticizing immigrants or authorities.

They mentioned in the letter that they had actively participated in the fight within the complex Midi area. However, they only mentioned their alliance with the police district Brussels-Midi when dealing with the difficulties existing at that location. They think that those persons can provide a solution so they send letters to them.

What measures address police needs at Midi?

Lack of proper policing, including police station in the area worries them. “In a worldwide station that experiences more travelers than Zaventem Airport, it is not an extravagance to have an elaborate police station.” Many arrests from this stand are related to undocumented people. The certain circumstances might be exploited by some to tag all immigrants unfairly and complain about the inappropriate management of Brussels according to what the mayors have said. They make a call not to generalize negatively or criticize without merit concerning immigrants and authorities by reference to the current predicament.
