On 8th October, just before 6:30 AM, there was a crash on the motorway involving eight cars, which caused big traffic delays. Three people got minor injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene. Even though their injuries weren’t serious, five of the cars were badly damaged and had to be towed away. Emergency services arrived quickly to handle the situation and keep other drivers safe.

What caused the major traffic delays in Ghent

Despite the motorway being cleared after the eight-vehicle crash this morning, traffic is still very congested. Drivers coming from Aalst are facing delays of about three hours. The N9 highway is very crowded because nearby roads are also jammed. Motorists on the N9 are dealing with delays of around two hours because of the backup from the accident.

The exact cause of the accident is still unknown. Authorities are investigating the multi-vehicle accident, and it’s not clear if the cause was weather conditions, driver error, or another factor. Until more information is available, drivers are advised to look for alternative routes and be prepared for long delays.
