Geel (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Kaliber, a Herentals-based company with 250 staff, opens a new Geel site in September 2025. Led by Wim Dewindt, it supports disabled and long-term unemployed through growing e-fulfillment services.
As VRT News reported, Herentals-based customisation company Kaliber, a company that helps people find jobs, is opening a new location in Geel in September 2025. They already have about 250 employees. Many of their employees have disabilities or have been unemployed for a long time. Officials mentioned that Kaliber gives them a supportive place to work where they can learn new skills and feel good about themselves.
How is Kaliber expanding e-fulfillment and creating jobs in Geel?
Kaliber does things like packaging and shipping products at its Herentals location. They are now doing more and more e-fulfillment, which means handling online orders. They have a small team for this now, but it’s getting busier. The new location in Geel will help them with this and create more jobs for people who need them, especially those who struggle to find work.
“We maintain stock for customers, we process or assemble those products if necessary and perform quality checks, ship them worldwide and also process any returns,”
Says General Manager Wim Dewindt.
Kaliber started offering e-fulfillment services last year. Even though it’s new, it’s growing quickly. They say this is because they hire people with and without disabilities and create a supportive work environment. Officials mentioned that this helps them offer extra services that other companies don’t.
To handle the growth, Kaliber is opening a new location in Geel. This building has the space they need for storage and shipping. They chose this location because many of their current workers live nearby. This will make it easier for them to get to work. The new location will open in September with the same staff.
