A homeless man got hurt badly from an electric shock. He was quickly taken to a burn center for treatment. This happened when he went into an empty building in Hasselt to find a place to stay for the night.

The man who didn’t have a home got really hurt from an electric shock. He was quickly taken to a burn center for treatment. This happened when he went into an empty building in Hasselt to find a place to stay for the night. Inside the building near the canal he touched a cable that was not covered and that’s how he got shocked. The shock burnt his face badly. The emergency team came quickly saw how bad it was and knew he needed special help right away. So, they took him to the burn center. The police are checking to find out how the shock happened and to keep others safe there.

The exact method by which the man managed to enter the building remains unknown. In response to this incident the fire brigade of the South-West Limburg zone has taken precautionary measures by sealing all windows and doors. This action is aimed at preventing any additional squatters from gaining access to the building. The closure of these entry points ensures that the building remains secure and inaccessible to unauthorized individuals.
