Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): On Tuesday evening, a car crashed into a tree on Avenue de Criel in Belgium, killing the driver. Emergency services arrived quickly but couldn’t save him.

On Tuesday evening, 31st December, just before 6 p.m., a car accident happened on Avenue de Criel, a rural road connecting Havelange and Hamois in Belgium. A single vehicle crashed into a tree, with the driver being the only person inside. Patrice Liétart, a spokesperson for the local emergency services, mentioned that the cause of the accident is still unknown.

What caused the car crash on Avenue de Criel in Belgium?

In response to the accident, emergency services quickly arrived with a multi-function pump, an ambulance, and a team of medical professionals. They worked hard to save the driver, but the crash was too severe. The driver passed away before any medical assistance could make a difference.

Officials are looking into what caused the crash, checking things like the weather and the road conditions. Since no other vehicles were involved, it’s unclear if the driver made a mistake or if there was a problem with the car. In the next few weeks, more details will come out. It has been said that this has raised concerns about safety on that road, and local authorities might think about adding new safety measures to prevent future accidents.
