Belgium: Warm weekend (20°C) before cold shift next week

Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – The last days of spring break will be warm (15-20°C) and sunny, but nights will be cold (1-6°C). Next week, rain, colder weather (3-8°C), and possible snow will return.

According to kMI, the last few days of spring break will be warm. The sun will shine all day today March 7, 2025, and it will be warm. The temperature will be between 15 and 19 °C. The weather will be dry all evening and night. But it will get much colder at night. 

The temperature will be between 1 and 6 °C. It could even freeze in some valleys in the Ardennes. So, the days will feel like early summer, but the nights will still be a bit like winter.

Will Belgium’s warm weekend give way to a cold, rainy week?

KMI mentioned that Saturday, March 8, 202,5 will be another warm and sunny day. The temperature will be 20 °C in some places. It will also be warm on Sunday, March 9, 2025, with highs of 20°C or more. Starting next week, the weather will be more different and colder. They said that the end of the warm and sunny spring break.

On Monday, March 9, 2025, a weather system from France might start to affect the country, especially in the south. As the system moves in, the south may see additional clouds, but the north will remain dry. The daytime temperatures will remain warm despite the shifting weather. About 15 °C will be the temperature.

According to KMI, the weather will change a lot after Monday, March 9, 2025. It will be more changeable, with chances of rain. It might rain for a while, or there could be short, heavy downpours. 

There might even be some snow in the mountains. It will be much colder than the weekend. The temperature will be between 3 and 8 °C during the day. It will be even colder at night. It could get below freezing, making roads and sidewalks slippery.
