Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): A Belgian girl was assaulted in Milan on New Year’s Eve; An Italian man helped her. Police are investigating, and the group plans to file a complaint.

A young girl from Belgium shared her recent night out experience where someone assaulted her by touching her inappropriately. She said that she and her friends could not do anything until an Italian man appeared and helped her as his wife too had experienced the same thing. The Milan prosecutor’s office has started an investigation into the matter, and the group intends to file a complaint with the police in Liège. So far, there are no suspects, but the police will check the actual security camera tapes.

They sensed danger, so they decided to leave the area and seek help from the police to avoid the chaos.

This sudden shift turned their joyful New Year’s celebration into a frightening experience, leaving them feeling trapped and vulnerable. The situation highlighted how quickly a festive atmosphere can change in large gatherings, making people feel unsafe in unfamiliar places.
