In 2022, the median salary (median) for full-time workers in Belgium was 3,728 euros a month. This means half earned less and half earned more than this amount. In big companies, the top executives earn the highest salaries, making about 11,772 euros per month. This is nearly three times more than the average salary for all full-time workers.

What are the lowest-paying jobs in Belgium?

In crèches, carers make around 2,567 euros a month, while bar staff, waiters, hairdressers, and beauticians earn about 2,610 to 2,612 euros per month. These jobs have the lowest average salaries. Stabel’s data comes from a yearly survey of over 184,000 full-time workers in companies with at least 10 employees. The salary numbers include extra pay for things like working nights or weekends. But they don’t include special payments like year-end bonuses or 13th-month salaries when solving the average income.
