Hoeilaart hosts 2026 Baloise Belgium Tour finale with Baroncini

Hoeilaart (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Hoeilaart will host the final stage of the 2026 Baloise Belgium Tour (June 17–21, 2025). Filippo Baroncini is the 2025 winner. Top cyclists, past champions, and Alderman Joy Sergeys feature prominently.

As VRT News reported, Hoeilaart, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium, will host the final stage of the 2026 Baloise Belgium Tour, a 5-day professional cycling race in Belgium. The 2026 Tour of Belgium will be held from Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, to Sunday, June 21st, 2026. 

Top cyclists from around the world will race for 5 days on Belgian roads. The route includes flat roads for sprinters and hilly sections for climbers. Officials mentioned that riders will need speed, stamina, and strategy to handle the different terrains.

What to expect at the 2026 Baloise Belgium Tour finale in Hoeilaart?

Officials mentioned that Hoeilaart, a town known for its cycling tradition. Past champions include Eddy Merckx, Tom Boonen, Greg Van Avermaet, Tony Martin, and Remco Evenepoel. They said that all attention will be on who will succeed Filippo Baroncini, the 2025 winner.

The Tour of Belgium, also called the Baloise Belgium Tour, was first held in 1908. The race became an important event in Belgian cycling. It was held every year until 1981, though it stopped during both World Wars. The race faced several pauses in the 1980s and 1990s. After a break from 1991 to 2001, the event returned in 2002 and has been held annually since. Today, it is part of the UCI ProSeries and attracts top professional cyclists from around the world.
