Tehran (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Ali Mohamad Naeini, a spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, issued a warning to US President Donald Trump on Saturday, urging him to stop using “reckless rhetoric” against Iran.

US President Donald Trump insisted that recent American strikes on Iran “obliterated” its nuclear facilities, claiming the attacks caused “monumental damage” and ensured Iran would not attempt to develop nuclear weapons in the near future.

“Our advice to Trump is to open his eyes and stop the baseless talk and erratic behaviour,”

Naeini said during the funeral ceremony for IRGC personnel slain in Israeli strikes on Iran

“He still does not understand the real sources of Iran’s power,”

He also said. The IRGC spokesperson emphasised that, if attacked again, Iran’s response will be “more powerful and more devastating” than its recent response to Israeli attacks.

What did Trump claim about Iran’s nuclear facilities?

These remarks have been made after Trump criticised Iran for claiming the end of the war as a victory for Tehran over Israel. Donald Trump’s latest posts on Truth Social sharply criticised Iran for claiming victory after the recent conflict with Israel and directly mocked Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

On Friday, Trump unleashed a barrage of criticism, calling Khamenei’s statements about Iranian triumph “a lie” and accusing him of “blatantly and foolishly” fabricating claims of victory. Trump asserted that he had spared Khamenei from “a very ugly and ignominious death,” stating he knew “EXACTLY” where the supreme leader was sheltering during the conflict but chose not to authorise a strike against him or permit Israel to do so.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered a strong response to Donald Trump’s remarks. In a statement posted on X, Araghchi emphasised Iran’s commitment to independence, dignity, and national pride, asserting that the Iranian people “do not take kindly to threats and insults.”
