Kyiv (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – European Council President Antonio Costa met with Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy to discuss Europe’s challenges, peace, and strengthening EU institutions.
On his first day in the position of President of the European Council, Antonio Costa met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who reached Kyiv on an official visit. President of Ukraine Zelenskyy posted on X:

Zelenskdy further said that both discussed the vision for European and global affairs’ current challenges and prospects.
The Ukrainian president highlighted that the symbolic start to the new leadership’s work reflected key priorities for Europe. He stated that peace is the foundation, and they would continue doing everything possible to end the war that Russia has unleashed, not just against Ukraine but against a united Europe. He emphasized the goal of strengthening Europe, including the EU institutions and policies that support every European nation.
