Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): Job seekers went to a recruitment event by Actiris to meet hotel employers in Brussels, where there are 500 job openings. Nora Ed-Daoui said the event went successful, expecting 80 jobs to be filled.

Job seekers interested in hotel jobs had their resumes checked. Those chosen were invited to a recruitment event where they could interact with various employers. This allowed them to introduce themselves and discuss the jobs they were interested in.

How does Actiris connect job seekers with hotel employers?

According to Nora Ed-Daoui from Actiris, this event helps job seekers connect directly with employers and show their interest in working in hotels. If an employer thinks a conversation went well, they might ask the candidate to continue the application process, which could include more interviews or tests. They mentioned that this way, job seekers can make a good first impression and have a clear path to getting a job in the hotel industry.

The job openings in the hotel sector are varied, including roles for cleaning staff, receptionists, kitchen workers, and positions in sales, management, and operations. Currently, there are 500 vacancies in Brussels, and after the event, around 80 jobs are expected to be filled. Ed-Daoui stated that the Job Dating event is very successful, as it allows employers to meet many candidates and job seekers to connect with different employers in one place. This is the third event organized by Actiris, which supports industries facing recruitment challenges, like education and sales.
