What Traditions Surround the Annual Meyboom Planting in Brussels?

It has been reported that chairman Jan Brusten said it was similar to a practice run for a Mayboom tree but with a different form and no tree to plant. Just a day off. Then at 1 p.m.  a prize ceremony was held to recognize those who have contributed the most to the club. They went to Manneken Pis ready for the event ending with drinks at the Ruppeplein.

It has been said that on August 10, 9 there will be a Mayboom crossing at 6 a.m. and then at 12 noon. The fun will begin with a traditional parade in the Zandstraat area. The parade will take place in various locations in Brussels including Montplein, Bers and Grote Mark.It has been said that  Veterans of Namur will be special guests this year. Búûmdrogers must plant the tree by 5 p.m. At the Zandstraat-Brockstraat corner. Long time ago Brussels beat Leuveners there for a pub struggle. The Duke of Brabant granted the Companions of St. Laurentius permission to plant the Mayboom on August 9th each year.If the Büûmdroegers fail to plant by 5 p.m  Leuven gets the honor of planting. Louvain residents say they’ve had a real Mayboom since the ’70s.Brusten says We’re actually planting.
