Work Starting from 5th August they’re doing road works in Hasselt at the Elfde Liniestraat and Grote Ring crossing. They’re building a bridge there for bikes and walkers. In the construction area the lanes will be smaller and there will be a speed limit to keep everyone safe. The construction will go on until next fall. Cyclists and walkers will have to use a temporary crossing made for PXL. There will be different routes on both sides of the Grote Ring to help with traffic while the work is going on.

What major road projects are underway across Limburg to enhance safety and mobility?

Starting from 5th August they’re starting road works in different places in Limburg. In Hasselt they’re building a new bridge for bikes and walkers at the Elfde Liniestraat and Grote Ring crossing.Apart from the work in Hasselt they’re also starting road projects in other places in Limburg. They’re building an ecoduct in Dilsen-Stokkem to help animals cross roads safely. In Genk they’re putting up noise barriers along the E314 highway to reduce traffic noise for people living nearby. A new bike tunnel in Sint-Truiden will be made to give cyclists a safer way to travel avoiding busy roads. These projects are part of the province’s efforts to make transportation better and protect the environment.

What road projects are underway in Grote-Brogel and Lommel to improve transportation and green spaces?
