What measures are being taken to prevent similar thefts in Berlaar-Nijlen?
Car thefts can be prevented and incidents like vehicle chases can be handled more quickly by increasing police presence and conducting targeted patrols in high-risk locations.
By encouraging citizens to stay watchful and report suspicious activities, a network of informal surveillance is established, which lessens the chance that criminals will go undetected.
Monitoring and evidence collection can be facilitated by placing surveillance cameras in public spaces and on streets where theft is likely to occur. In order to deter theft or speed up recovery, car owners are also urged to employ GPS trackers and immobilizers.
The danger of theft is decreased by teaching the public how to secure cars, such as locking doors, keeping keys inside, and parking in well-lit places.
Vehicle theft-focused police units can enhance the results of investigations and raise the possibility of catching criminals.
