What did VRT’s Warmste Week 2025 achieve in Genk?
At the same time, VRT ambassadors Annabet Ampofo, Bavo Mortier, and Fien Germins joined local volunteers to complete one of the supported projects at the Pulderbos rehabilitation centre. The team finished the project in just 7 days.
The Warmste Week in Genk featured its usual lineup of live music, drawing large crowds throughout the week. Artists including Berre, DIKKE, Oscar and the Wolf, Bazart, and Pommelien performed at Cosmogolem Park. More than 170,000 visitors came to the park to enjoy the concerts, take part in activities, and support the campaign.
All the money will go to the De Warmste Week (DWW) fund and will be distributed by the King Baudouin Foundation. Every euro will go directly to the projects, ensuring real impact for those in need.
The Warmest Week is a yearly fundraising effort created by VRT beginning in the year 2013 and occurs during December. The goal of this campaign is to generate funding through partnerships with other media outlets, hosting several live events and encouraging individuals to participate in their community, all while raising funds for those who are less fortunate than they are.
Invisible diseases are also included as one of the recipients of funds raised during the Warmest Week. Each year, countless projects in Flanders receive funding, and thousands of volunteers support the efforts of these organisations through their actions. Funds that have been raised during the Warmest Week will be distributed through the King Baudouin Foundation.
