Heule (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Vandals damaged Belgium Aid’s organisation bus in Heule, halting aid missions. Over 924,000 meals were given before. Carlo Herpol urges public help as police investigate the costly setback.

As VRT News reported, over the weekend, a bus belonging to the Belgium Aid organisation, a charity that helps people in need, was badly damaged in Heule, a district in the province of West Flanders, Belgium. The bus, which had been changed for their work, was parked at an empty farm. Vandals broke the bus windows and wrote on it, making it unusable.

Belgium Aid was planning to use the bus to keep helping people, including in Wallonia and Turkey. They had already given out more than 924,000 meals. Carlo Herpol, from Belgium Aid, said he was very frustrated. He explained that the bus was made to help vulnerable people, and the damage would slow down their ability to provide support.

Who vandalised the Belgian aid’s bus in Heule, halting 924K meals?

The vandals also tried to break into a Belgian Aid organisation truck that was close by. They didn’t stop there; they also smashed windows of a house and damaged a caravan that belonged to the KLJ youth group. Belgium Aid organisation is upset because this stops them from doing their important work.

The organisation has been helping communities in need. Now, they face big problems because of the damage. This not only means property damage but also interrupts their aid missions, which are needed by many.

The damage to Belgium Aid’s bus is causing big problems for their work. Carlo Herpol, who works for Belgium Aid, said the attack is very upsetting for their operations. He said that they can’t do anything with the bus now.

The organisation now has to find money to fix the bus, which is important for their work. He mentioned that Belgium Aid’s money is supposed to help people in need, not to fix broken things. This money problem makes it even harder for them to keep helping those who depend on them.
Because of the vandalism, Belgium Aid is asking for help from the public. They want anyone who knows something about the attack to tell them. The organisation hopes someone saw the vandals or has information that can help the police. The police are now working to find the people who did this and make sure they are punished.
