As VRT News reported, a suspicious letter was delivered this morning, Nov 11, 2025, to a private home on Karel Govaertsstraat, Deurne. The envelope contained a powdery substance. The letter has been isolated and will be examined.

Emergency medical services were called to the location as a precaution. No injuries or health problems have been reported. Neighbours in the area were informed of the situation and advised to remain cautious while authorities carried out the initial investigation.

Officials are also exploring whether the incident is connected to criminal activity, including possible links to drug trafficking. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said more information will be shared once the powder is analysed and the sender is identified.

Belgium has seen several incidents involving letters with suspicious powder in recent years. On 22 November 2024, a letter containing a white powder was delivered to the office of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. Earlier, similar letters were sent to the offices of the Belgian State Security Service and the Interior Ministry.
