Mechelen (Brussels Morning) – A 30-year-old man was caught riding an electric scooter at 70 km/h on Posttempellaan in Mechelen. His scooter could reach 85 km/h resulting in its seizure by traffic authorities

A 30-year-old man was caught riding an electric scooter on Posttempellaan in Mechelen at a speed of about 70 kilometers per hour. Upon further inspection of the scooter it was found that it could reach speeds up to 85 kilometers per hour. This incident resulted in the man being stopped by traffic authorities due to the excessive speed he was traveling on the scooter.

What Happens When Electric Scooter Riders Exceed Speed Limits in Belgium?

The police on Postzegellaan saw a guy riding an electric scooter really fast like 70 kilometers per hour which was too fast for that area. They stopped him and checked his scooter using a roller test. They found out it could go as fast as 85 kilometers per hour. The police took the scooter because the guy was speeding a lot. They might keep it forever because of how fast he was going. Police said that they want everyone to be safe on the roads there.

The police in Antwerp caught people who made their electric scooters super fast like going up to 95 kilometers per hour.It has been said that  They did this because they were worried about everyone’s safety and making sure everyone follows the rules. Going that fast on scooters can be really dangerous for both the riders and people walking so they’re being strict to prevent accidents and keep the roads safe. The police want everyone to follow the speed rules and laws when using electric scooters to keep the city streets safe and organized.
