The size of the grounds has not been increased, and no additional tickets will be issued; however, the new structure will create more space. According to spokesperson Steven Latré, the goal is to offer a better experience for attendees while keeping the well-known atmosphere of the festival.

The new gallery at Lokerse Feesten will be closely monitored to ensure everything remains safe. Security staff will limit how many people can go up at the same time. Organisers have warned that anyone who throws drinks or other objects from the gallery will face costs for any damage or cleanup.
For its 50th year, Lokerse Feesten has added more than just the new gallery. The festival now has a 360-degree LED wall built all around the site. Spokesperson Steven Latré says it is similar to the screens seen in modern football stadiums.
He mentioned that the LED wall will show visuals during concerts, add special effects to the shows, and give sponsors a place to be seen. This year is a trial run for the system, but Latré says that if it works well, the LED wall will stay and become a regular part of the festival in the years ahead.
“The kickoff was successful,”
said the spokesperson after the first evening.
“There were no significant incidents. There were just under 10,000 people in the square.”
