Rector Luc Sels predicts that the celebration will draw approximately 20,000 visitors while expressing his excitement about the upcoming event.
“Everyone has bent over backwards to prepare for this festive year. We have been working on it for several years, and it is still hard work until the very last moment,”

“Now we are completely ready. I feel a lot of enthusiasm among the researchers, the professors and the other partners to make it a successful weekend.”

Leuven residents themselves are also welcome to take a look behind the scenes. With an art installation and many parties tonight, the city council is contributing to the festivities.
“We look back on a very fruitful collaboration between the city and the university,”

“In this way, we want to further reduce the distance between the city and the university.”
