Kristof Calvo celebrates the 7th year of Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam festivities

Mechelen (Brussels Morning Newspaper): Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam is in its seventh year and features fire and light displays. Kristof Calvo organized the event, which began on December 6-7 at Tivoli Park. It will continue in Hombeek on December 13-14 and in the city center on December 20-21.

Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam is in its seventh year and has become an important event for the city. It features fireworks, light displays, and performances. The event has grown yearly and now includes neighborhoods and villages, reaching more people. This year, it started in Tivoli Park, a popular park in Mechelen-Noord, for the second time. After a first year, Tivoli Park again turned into an exciting place for families and individuals, mixing nature and art for a fun opening weekend.

What role does Kristof Calvo play in the “Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam” event?

Kristof Calvo, from Voor Mechelen and a member of Mechelen Feest, is proud of how the event brings happiness to everyone in the city. He mentioned that last year when the event was held in Tivoli for the first time, it became very popular. Calvo is glad to offer this event to the people of Mechelen-Noord and others. He mentioned that the event’s growth into neighborhoods shows that Mechelen wants to include everyone and strengthen the community while showing off the city’s creativity and culture. By bringing Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam to places like Tivoli Park, the city helps everyone celebrate its traditions and art together.

Dijlestad will have fire shows and street performances for three weekends. The main event is in the city center in two weeks, and next weekend is for Hombeek.
