The federal prosecutor’s office will examine the role of the accused Salah Abdeslam and Sofien Ayari in its closing statement on Thursday.

This week and also the beginning of next week have been set aside for the federal prosecutor’s office. In recent days it has been about accused Oussama Atar, Mohamed Abrini, Osama Krayem and Ali El Haddad Asufi. So on Thursday it is up to Salah Abdeslam and Sofien Ayari.

The defense of Ayari and Abdeslam maintains that they were already in jail at the time of the attacks and therefore could have had nothing to do with it. They would have been waiting in the safe house in Vorst to travel to Syria and would not have had an attack in mind.

Next Monday, the public prosecutor’s office will consider the role of Bilal El Makhoukhi and HervĂ© Bayingana Muhirwa. Finally on Tuesday it is up to the Farisi brothers. From Wednesday, the lawyers of the civil parties will plead. The following week, the defense will start its oral argument.
