Brussels (Brussels Morning  Newspaper) – The Flemish government gives €2,432,000 to 4 national parks, each getting €608,000 yearly. Bosland’s new team, which includes Mike Bex, Ward Segers, Pieter Cox, and Jeroen Clerix, improves the nature and visitor experience.

The Flemish government Minister of Environment, Jo Brouns, is giving subsidies of 2432000 euros to 4 new national parks.  These parks were officially recognised last year. Environmentalists mentioned that they are important for protecting nature and helping animals.  The government is giving each park 608,000 euros every year.

According to the government, the parks will use the subsidies to keep the environment clean and safe for animals.  The government wants to make sure the parks can continue to do their work for many years to come.  They mentioned that subsidies will help the parks grow and improve.

How will €2.4M transform Flemish national parks and Bosland?

According to Jo Brouns, the parks will also use the money to teach people about nature and how to protect it.  The parks want people to enjoy them, but they also want to make sure the environment is safe.  The minister said that these parks will become great places for people to see and learn about nature in Flanders.

The minister said,

“It can only succeed with strong involvement of all local actors in the region. The relationship with the agricultural sector in the area remains an important point of attention.”

The Flemish government has given subsidies to a new team working at Bosland National Park.  The team is made up of 4 people who know a lot about nature.  They are Mike Bex, Ward Segers, Pieter Cox, and Jeroen Clerix.  These people have worked on big projects in both the Netherlands and Belgium.

The team have a plan to make the park even better in the next 25 years, 2024-2048.  The team wants to make sure the park is a good place for both nature and people.  Their slogan is

“Together to the wilderness of tomorrow.”
