Hesselt: (Brussels Morning) Jessa Hospital is consolidating its three campuses into one modern facility including an 18-story Park Tower for urgent care and a Park Wing blending with nature for longer stays. To make spac, they will safely demolish two buildings, remove asbestos and create a temporary parking lot before turning the area into a park.

They’re starting by tearing down two buildings to make space for the new care park plan. This plan brings together Jessa Hospital’s three campuses into one modern facility. The main focus is the Park Town an 18-story building for short-term patients. It will have top-notch medical facilities to give quick and effective care to those needing urgent medical help. Next to the Park Tower is the Park Wing which will blend with the green park around it. This wing is for patients who need longer stays aiming to create a healing environment that mixes with nature. The idea is to make a calm and therapeutic place that helps patients recover and feel better by being close to nature. These parts of the plan show a complete way of looking at healthcare combining advanced medical care with the soothing effects of nature.

How Jessa Hospital Plans to Manage Parking During Construction of New Facility?

They’re going to build part of the new building on the current parking lot so they need to make a temporary parking area while they construct it. To do this, they’ll knock down the empty National Bank and the old nursing home buildings to create space for the temporary parking lot. This plan helps the hospital keep running smoothly during the construction of the new building. After they finish the new hospital building they’ll turn the temporary parking area into a park. This two-step plan solves the current parking issue and makes the care park look better and more useful in the long run. They aim to apply for permission to demolish the National Bank and the old nursing home buildings this summer. They thought if everything goes well they can start demolishing them this winter starting the next stages of building and improving the area.

How Does Jessa Hospital Ensure Safe and Eco-Friendly Demolition of Asbestos-Containing Buildings?

They’ll carefully take out the asbestos from the old nursing home in a safe and controlled way following strict rules. Removing asbestos is crucial to reduce health dangers from exposure and to get the site ready for later demolition work. Jessa Hospital is very focused on being careful to keep workers, local residents and the environment safe during this whole process. Once they make sure the old nursing home is free of asbestos they’ll tear down both it and the empty National Bank building completely. Jessa Hospital is focused on reducing the impact on the environment and any inconvenience during these demolition activities. They’ll use methods to reduce noise, control dust and manage waste efficiently. The goal is to keep the environment clean and make sure the community is not disturbed during the project.

It has been said that this step-by-step plan shows Jessa Hospital’s commitment to safe and eco-friendly practices making sure the site changes follow rules and meet the community’s expectations for taking care of the environment.
