Hoogstraten (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Campus Noorderkempen in Hoogstraten is a new 10,000 m² business complex with offices for 350 people. Developed by Aertsen & Partners, IOK, and others, it will open in January 2026 at Kruisblok 18-20.

Campus Noorderkempen is a new business complex in Hoogstraten, Belgium. It has 2 office buildings, parking, and a landscaped area with a water feature. It can hold up to 350 people. The project took a long time to happen. Aertsen & Partners, an insurance firm, wanted a new office for many years. They couldn’t find a good place in Hoogstraten, Brecht, or Wuustwezel.

The city and IOK, a development group, built the De Kluis 2 industrial estate. At first, it didn’t have office space. But they added it later. Now, Campus Noorderkempen is for several companies, including United Experts Group, ACS Accountants, and Aertsen & Partners Verzekeringen.

Will campus Noorderkempen in Hoogstraten unite Kempen firms?

According to the officials, campus Noorderkempen is easy to get to. It’s close to the E19 motorway, the train station, and the centre of Hoogstraten. The office buildings and parking are being built. The campus is more than just a business park.

They mentioned that the project is a big investment in the Hoogstraten area. It’s located at Kruisblok 18-20, 2320 Hoogstraten. The campus wants to be a centre for business in the area. It will have modern facilities and green spaces for people.

The IOK and the city were looking for partners who also needed offices, but just like us, could not build a large building.

According to Peter Aertsen, Aertsen & Partners and other companies had limited money. Their initial plans didn’t match the city’s rules for the area. So, the city and the IOK looked for other businesses that needed office space.

They found several companies, like insurance firms, consultants, accountants, and a real estate agency. These companies decided to work together. They pooled their money and bought a big piece of land.

The new office building is almost finished. The first workers will move in next January 2026. The building is designed to be green. It has green roofs and walls to help with insulation and the environment. It also has a system to collect and reuse rainwater.

The building will use a district heating network to save energy. There are also parking spaces for electric cars and bikes. Officials mentioned that this makes the building more sustainable and fits with the goal of Campus Noorderkempen.

We have purchased 10,000 square meters to build an office building together. That is also progressing well. The first colleagues want to move into the building in January next year.
