Starting from 13 December, students can register for study spots in Hasselt. Like last year, the city is offering places for students to study quietly for their exams. Alderman Habib El Ouakili says these study areas aim to help students focus. There are now 438 study spots available, which is 150 more than before. These spots can be found at locations like the Library Hasselt Limburg, City Hall ‘t Scheep, Bouldergym Monk, Local service center Hogevijf, and Clarenhofkapel.

What new study opportunities and events are available for students in Hasselt?

Students can again study at the Hogevijf residential care center in Hasselt, just like last year. This time, there’s more emphasis on interaction with the residents. Students have the chance to read to them, chat, or play games during their breaks. Six new study locations have been introduced, including Regenbooghuis and the restaurant de Wasbar, which offers a good atmosphere, Wi-Fi, and free water for students.

Hasselt Studentenstad is organizing special one-day events along with the regular block bars at places like Kinepolis Hasselt and Bootstraat. These events let students study while enjoying fun activities, like laser shooting and DJ workshops. The block bars will be open from December 23, 2024, to January 31, 2025, and students can sign up online.
