Belgium (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): The Fête de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles celebrates the French-speaking community with free concerts and events in Brussels and Wallonia, featuring artists like Must and Clara Luciani.

The holiday celebrates the French-speaking community in Belgium named the Fête de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. On this day, schools and offices in the French-speaking Community will have a day off, and there will be celebrations in Brussels and Wallonia. In Brussels and Wallonia, many cinemas and event places will have free events to showcase the talents and cultural heritage of the French-speaking community. 

What artists are performing at the Grand Place concert? 

The star of the day is the free concert at the Grand Place on Friday. This year, famous artists from French-speaking Belgium and other countries will perform in Brussels, including Must from Eurovision, Oscar and the Wolf, Clara Luciani, Henri PFR, Puggy, and Illiona. The concert starts at 7:30 PM, and if the square gets full, they won’t allow more people in, so it’s best to arrive early.

In Brussels, Ancienne Belgique and Super Fourchette will feature experimental acts Edgar Déception and Capelo on Friday as part of the program. On Saturday, the Belgian rap group Glauque and electronic duo Kowari will have a concert in Charleroi, among many other performances over the weekend. Film lovers can enjoy free screenings of diverse Belgian movies in cultural centers and art-house cinemas in Brussels and Wallonia. Check out the complete schedule for the screenings.
