“Europe is here to strengthen Ukraine in this critical moment,”

She also said.

Noting X, von der Leyen stated:

“We are in Kyiv today because Ukraine is Europe. In this fight for survival, it is not only the destiny of Ukraine that is at stake. It’s Europe’s destiny.”

What did Costa highlight about EU solidarity with Ukraine?

In her company was António Costa, the president of the European Council. “Three years ago, at this very moment, Russia’s invasion shattered peace in Ukraine and caused tremendous suffering to the Ukrainian people. We have been with you from Day One,” he noted on X.
